During my pregnancy I had the idea to combine a classic floral ornament with embryos. Actually the design was originally made for a sofa. The combination works very well on tableware too.
The colours for this tableware are blue and white. The firing at a very high temperature in the kiln means that the tableware is suitable for frequent washing in the dishwasher.
We married in 2010. It took me over 2 years to finish the 120-paged photo book that I now finally printed via Blurb.de.
I had the idea to finish and print the book after discovering the website Paisleepress reading an article on Holly Becker’s blog Decor8blog.
There are several possibilities on blurb.de to set up the graphics for the book. You can use the software Booksmart or use Adobe Indesign (for experts) – for Indesign you can download the blurb-plugin and finally upload the finished PDF. I tried both and can recommend either way.
My book was made in 18x18cm, premium glossy paper and printed hardcover. Here are a few pics:
Since August Sayeeda Bacchus is working in my studio. We are concentrating on textile design in the last months. I attach a few work-in-progress shots of cushions that Sayeeda designed and that I will be sewing in the next days.
I will be showing more of the finished cushions and textiles soon.
